Britain celebrates "Islam Awareness Week" with major terror bust.

Islam awareness week in Britain:

This year marks the tenth anniversary of Islam Awareness Week. Celebrations to mark the success of the venture will be launched on 22nd November at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London.

The week hopes to further unite Britain's diverse communities, with the aim of developing respect and understanding between race and faith groups.

The theme for this year's festival is 'Your Muslim Neighbour'. The focus will be to enhance understanding of the role of Islam globally, and specifically within local society.

To enable non-Muslim members of the community to gain a real insight into Islamic culture, Muslims will open up their homes and community centres.

Islam Awareness Week will see the launch of the "Tent of Peace" which will be created by school children throughout the country. The tent will be made up of 'handkerchiefs of peace' which will display Islamic designs and messages of peace.
Apparently angry their 'hankerchiefs of peace' weren't chosen for display in the 'Tent of Peace,' these jolly jihadi's had a different plan to make Brits aware of Islam: crash planes into buildings:

LONDON (AFP) - British security services have foiled an Al-Qaeda plot to fly planes into targets in London in a September 11-style attack, Britain's independent ITV News network reported.

"This is the story of what could have been a nightmare averted," said ITV's political editor Nick Robinson. "A story not of failure, but of success."

"That, at least, is what I am told by a senior authoritative source who says that the security services managed to avert a plot to fly planes into Canary Wharf here, and also into Heathrow Airport," he said.

"I simply do not know the details of how they found out, how they stopped it, how close the plot got, but I am in no doubt that this was a genuine feeling on the behalf of those in the security services that they had managed to foil a plot and make us safer," he added.

That's my kind of party.
